this is the last we'll see of the malabrigo striped sweater. i may try to knit him up again, but i am really not happy with my very very poor carrying technique. who would have thunk that carrying yarn in a knit-in-the-round piece was that much different than in a straight piece? and here i thought i was an expert after so successfully carrying on skerf's.

see where the stitch marker is? if you follow that up to the neck you can see the not only obvious bad carrying technique but the crooked "i can't carry straight up". what an embarassment! i guess the only thing straight up around here is my martini. so...i am going to frog the whole thing and i may attempt this sweater again, but perhaps knit in a different technique, like say, from the bottom up? or maybe in pieces and then seamed together? who knows what 2008 will bring...

Yikes! A little blocking won't help?
Too bad!! I do love this color combo, I hope it becomes something else together.
the colors are fantastic!!!! i hope you can figure it out.
Nice color!
I just want to say you have a great Merry Christmas!
Great Wishes and Hopes...
Love,
Charles
when you're knitting in the round, there's always a "jog" between color selections - here's how to fix it: When you change colors, change as normal, and knit back around to the color change, then, using your right hand needle, pick up the right hand side of the stitch below the new color (which is on the left hand needle) and put it on your left hand needle next to the right side of the first "new color" stitch you made, then knit the first "new color" and one side (picked up)stitch together. This (if I'm saying it correctly) should help with that "jog" you're seeing.... try it out on something and see what happens :) and then get back to knitting that sweater - it's awesome!
Happy Holidays!
I tried to change colors with knit in the round and it was such a crap job! I hated the result and quickly frogged it! We'll learn how to make it pretty dear!

What Kyle said!
I LOVE the shade of blue that you are using in the Malabrigo, and the sweater looks unbelievably soft. But frog if you must...
If you hate it--frog it. But as others have said, the colors are fabulous.
Happy New Year!
Again, the colors ARE fabulous...I wouldn't change anything about the width of the stripes either. Hopefully this does become something else in the new year!
ok, so you frogged it. surely you have cast on for something else by now! lets see! :)
I agree on the colors. If not for a sweater, something else?
